What is the Feldenkrais® Method?

The Feldenkrais Method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, judo master, engineer, and physicist. A man ahead of his time, many of the ideas put forth during his life (1904-1984), are now being proven by medical science.

Awareness Through Movement® lessons are verbally directed movement sequences. These lessons are fascinating, enjoyable explorations of our human potential.

Functional Integration® is another form of expressing the Feldenkrais Method. Just as Feldenkrais practitioners can guide people through movement sequences verbally in Awareness Through Movement, they also guide people through movement with gentle, non-invasive touching in Functional Integration.
